Joan Holloway, not Harris

I love me some Joan.

I've watched a few Mad Men episodes while making this, and I've realized how much I've been lagging on the show. So far behind...

Here are a few pictures I took on my recent trip to Portland two weeks ago. Such a beautiful city with so much moisture in the air and everywhere! L.A. needs some of this climate right now, cuz being in a drought is not the business.

Pintrest + Washi Paper

Pintrest is so awesome and sooooo useful. And its super fun to find things to draw too!

Found some old washi paper I had lying around my room, and decided to make use of it somehow for this piece.

It gives her a bit more life, I guess (:

Pintrest reference:

Have a great week, everyone ✌

SketchGroup!

Hooray!! I finally got the chance to do some figure drawings, WITH A LIVE MODEL!

Feels nice drawing someone who's actually posing for you after creeping & sketching some strangers in public...

Center Stage Gallery in Burbank is providing an Uninstructed Sketch Group on Wednesdays and I got lucky enough to make it today! It was soo therapeutic and I was having the time of my life. I hope I'll be able to catch more drawing classes... but more on a weekly basis. (New Resolution! added.)

Here are some 10 and 20 minutes drawings from today.
(taken with iPhone5, cuz I'm lazy...)

InkSketches

Some inks sketches for this year's Inktober.

I ended up being human and failed to keep up with these til the end of the month, but this was so fun to do. (and at least I got halfway! Yay Positivity!)
Hope to do more of these and keep experimenting.
